August 5, 2019Edvin Džidić and Muhamed Sinanović, graduates of Richmond Park College Sarajevo, have shown that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a small country of great potential. They represented our country at the CASTIC 2019 International Competition for Science Projects (Chinese Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest) and won a silver medal. They were accompanied by our country's delegation coordinator Jasin Hodžić, a member of the organizing committee and expert jury at the BOSEPO project competition, where Džidić and Sinanović won a gold medal, qualifying for international competitions.
CASTIC 2019 was held in SAR Macau, China. The event was hosted by the University of Macau. This innovation competition is being held for the 34th time and is one of the most prestigious in the world, with our country participating for the first time as one of 55 countries (including the US, UK, Canada, Russia, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Nigeria, Brazil, Argentina, etc.) and the Chinese provinces (such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Hainan, Tibet, etc.) that came together in this competition. Given that this competition is one of the largest in the world, this year our students competed with the total of 443 projects and as many as 590 students from all over the world.
