Cambridge Programme

RP International Primary and Secondary School in Sarajevo are registered Cambridge International Schools and as such give students the opportunity to earn Cambridge diplomas. Primary school students have the option of Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary programmes, while Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced programmes are available for secondary school students.

CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY

Cambridge Primary is an international education programme, typically for young students (5 to 11 years). It is taught in more than 1300 schools in over 110 countries. It starts students on an exciting educational journey, setting out what they should be able to do at each stage of their primary education. The programme develops young students who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. Cambridge Primary includes assessment that proves and improves learning.

Cambridge Primary develops students skills and understanding through the primary years in English as a first or second language, mathematics, science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and ICT Starters. It focuses on developing knowledge and skills in core subjects which form an excellent foundation for future study. Focuses on students’ development in each year. It provides a natural progression throughout the years of primary education. Cambridge Primary is compatible with other curricula, internationally relevant and sensitive to different needs and cultures supports students with English as a first or second language. Provides foundation for further study - it is an excellent preparation for Cambridge Lower Secondary, and for progression to other educational systems.

CAMBRIDGE LOWER SECONDARY

Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for students aged 11 to 14 years and is taught in nearly 2300 schools in over than 130 countries. Develops young students who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.

Cambridge Lower Secondary provides a natural progression for children from primary education and prepares them for post-14 education programmes that lead to formal qualifications. It develops students skills and understanding through the primary years in English as a first or second language, mathematics, science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and ICT Starters. Focuses on students’ development in each year. Cambridge Lower Secondary offers a curriculum that schools can shape around how they want their students to learn. It is compatible with other curricula, internationally relevant and sensitive to different needs and cultures supports students with English as a first or second language. Provides foundation for further study - it is an excellent preparation for Cambridge Upper Secondary, and for other educational systems.
