January 1, 2020Online Lesson Attendance Guidelines
March 15, 2020Dear parents,
We would hereby like to inform you about necessary preparatory actions for online lessons that will be held until March 25.
We would kindly like to ask you to read the provided instructions and forward to vice principals any further questions you might have.
1. Daily online lessons will begin at 9:00 and proceed according to the following itinerary:
1st lesson 9:00-9:35
2nd lesson 9:45-10:20
3rd lesson 10:30-11:05
4th lesson 11:15-11:50
5th lesson 12:00-12:35
6th lesson 12:45-13:20
7th lesson 13:30-14:05
2. Students will only attend lessons in time slots specified by the timetable.
3. Students in grades 1 to 4 will receive all materials and instructions by their teachers via SchoolMind module "class feed".
4. For students in grades 5 to 9, it is necessary to download app called "Zoom" to mobile devices or visit website called "Zoom". In each case, lessons can be accessed by clicking "Join a Meeting" and entering the code that will provided in timetable. Students will also receive additional materials and instructions via SchoolMind and Google Classroom, as students are already familiar with these platforms.
5. Lesson topics and units will be adapted to online format, so that they are more engaging and less burdening to the students and parents alike.
6. Certain Cambridge program lessons will be excluded from online lessons, to improve efficiency and functionality of classes, as well as to decrease the workload of students.
7. The students will not be graded during online lessons, though it is recommended that teachers keep record of student performance, so that they can be later rewarded for their efforts when regular lessons continue.
8. It is important to emphasize that lessons will be conducted and recorded in accordance with eDnevnik schedules.
9. The Teachers Council has suspended the Plan of written exams until further notice. The plan will be reformulated after the regular lessons start again.
10. Class teachers must continuously track the conducting of online lessons in their class and communicate with parents along the way.
Time table for tomorrow will be shared in the evening, while the timetable for the rest of the days will be shared later.
We would like to point out that the lessons conducted via "Zoom" tomorrow will be first such lessons so it is expected that students may need some time to get used to them. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
