Fall Semester

Assessments:

Summative assessments:
  • Projects – Students will do projects about civilizations and their characteristics
  • Test – Students will do a test about different civilizations and a final test at the end of semester
Formative assessments:
  • Daily notebook checks for activities and assignments

Spring Semester

  • Project – Students will do a presentation about China and a project on differences between various governments (Democracy, Oligarchy, Monarchy, Empires)
  • Test – Students will have an exam mid-semester and a final test at the end

  • Teaching History – Students can access resources regarding historic topics geared towards specific age groups.
  • PBS LearningMedia Crash Course: World History – Great video resources for students to get a “crash course” on topics they want to understand better or learn more about.
  • History.com Classroom – Resources created by History.com directly for students, including videos, biographies, geography, primary sources, and more.
